Wood with Soul
R4DESIGN, in collaboration with the BERNECK Marketing team, created the CasaBerneck concept. The approach combines the brand's close and human way of operating with the vision of contemporary living: sustainable, integrated, and multicultural.

The concept was materialized in the brand's space at Formóbile 2016, the International Fair of the Wood and Furniture Industry, held at Anhembi/SP from July 26 to 29, and its 300m² presented Berneck's launches in an uncluttered and warm space. The scenographic space was curatorially organized based on 03 lifestyles:
• Industrial Chic: urban, contemporary, and minimalist; the Industrial style revisits the functionality of pieces and objects, under an atmosphere that values the past, pieces worn by time and imbued with soul and memories. Uncluttered and cosmopolitan, this style evolves with care in the finishing of pieces and coatings, giving it an atmosphere of quality and sophistication.
• Blend Decor: personal, multicultural, and very plural. This space mixes materials, ideas, and references, designed for global citizens. The pleasure of traveling and collecting memories is the backdrop of the space that captures the eye through the exoticism and personality of the authorial composition.
• Past Modern: revisited nostalgia, a true time travel based on colors and shapes that recover the best of 60s and 70s design in a current approach, designing lasting and timeless environments.
The CasaBerneck concept tied all this content and launches into a modern language construction, with clear references to Contemporary Residential Architecture. Pergolas, brises, large openings, integrated spaces, and planes were organized in a pure and powerful way, under a scene of warm and welcoming light.
The exhibition contents were organized into "rooms" that establish the museum-like visitation circuit around the heart of the project – the patio.
With a clear reference to residential gardens and backyards, this space recovers the pleasure of welcoming and socializing with friends in a relaxed, elegant environment surrounded by nature. In general terms, the project uses three basic ingredients:
• Warmth: in the light, materials, details, surfaces, and the welcoming atmosphere;
• Humanization: in the personality of the spaces, scales, and the presence of vegetation;
• Contemporaneity: in Berneck's launches, the architectural language, choice of materials, and decoration.
These same elements are present in the relational and negotiation spaces, where meeting rooms welcome the visitor with snippets of songs that remind us of the importance of home as our place in the world.
The final result was great visibility for the brand and total public adherence to the concept, generating a constant flow of visitation throughout the entire event, and motivating the continuity of the concept for future moments of contact between Berneck and the Market.
The project for Formóbile 2016 was awarded 1st Place in the Environmental Design category [Commercial and Corporate Environments] at the 6th Edition of the Prêmio Bornancini, promoted by the Association of Design Professionals of Rio Grande do Sul (APDesign).
