Cavaletti Worklab Re-View
Customer: Cavaletti S/A, Novara
Scope: Concept Design, Architectural Project, Construction Turnkey
Experience in constant evolution.
The Worklab concept was born to materialize an immersive experience, focused on the relationship, innovation, and co-creation of the Cavaletti and Novara brands with the corporate market. In it, the brands aim to tangibilize their philosophy on contemporary ways of working in three dimensions, presenting it in a cohesive, engaging, and inspiring narrative.

In its 3rd edition, inaugurated in 2023, R4DESIGN worked intensely in conjunction with the Cavaletti and Novara teams to recreate the productivity experience after the transformation generated by the pandemic, combining in-person, hybrid, and remote work in diverse proportions.
To this end, the guiding concept "Worklab RE-VIEW – A look at the forms of work" was first developed, in which the three main dimensions of the productive journey – Encounter, Learn, and Focus – were strategically combined:
▸ Encounter other people, to socialize and build relationships, expanding the professional circle and personal bonds beyond the family;
▸ Learn and constantly evolve, through experiences, the exchange of knowledge in the day-to-day, collaboration, and formal training;
▸ Focus on your activity, temporarily separating from other areas of daily life to produce, develop, and create value using appropriate equipment, with high environmental and ergonomic quality.
This new conceptual matrix enabled a transformation in the project approach for usual professional spaces. If before they already needed to be resilient to follow the evolution of business, now they need to become more gregarious and flexible to respect the individualities of each professional – who are increasingly nomadic – throughout their journey.
Thus, more than definitive and isolated arrangements, the project proposes to explore them in smoother, natural, and fluid transitions between the three different pillars of the user experience.
The basic parti organizes the spaces with a more agile, functional, and practical essence. The public spaces for reception and exchange, represented by the central Square, gain prominence and diversity of postures and configurations and are strategically surrounded by Meeting areas (with more or less formal configurations), and by structured Office spaces, open or closed, oriented toward focus.
Beyond these usual spaces, however, "middle-places" gain prominence: spaces that make effective transitions between what is public, semi-public, and private – Work Café, Cowork, and Quiet Zones. Each one creates capsules, sometimes of privacy and sometimes of integration, that allow for natural transition and quickly finding the most suitable mood, favoring the productivity and personal satisfaction of each user.
The result could not be more positive: the new showroom quickly consolidated itself as a powerful issuer of guidelines for representatives, resellers, and commercial teams in Brazil and more than 20 countries served by the brands. With the trade, it has provided specifiers with a space for effective experimentation and specification support, ensuring greater adherence and qualifying the relationship with the brands – which now hold a new asset, even more central to their value generation strategy.
