Melnick Cidade Nilo
Customer: Melnick
Scope: Concept Design, Architectural Project
Expanding the real estate market experience.
Located in the midst of the traditional Bela Vista and Petrópolis neighborhoods, the Cidade Nilo development, conceptualized by the Melnick and Cia. Zaffari group, seeks to redefine the concept of luxury in the Gaúcha Capital (Porto Alegre). To anticipate the arrival of this new dimension of consumption in Rio Grande do Sul, we developed a concept showroom that combines architecture and technology in a unique and disruptive experience.

The sales office project, the result of a closed competition won by the R4DESIGN team in collaboration with Vitá Arquitetos, had a clear challenge: to build an immersive circuit of such intensity that it would allow them to forego the traditional decorated apartment, without losing the perception of value and further expanding the understanding of the development.
The context of the space's implementation combines challenge and opportunity: located in front of the traditional Praça Carlos Simão Arnt (known as Praça da Encol), the plot of land that previously housed a supermarket offered the corner and the stretch of Avenida Nilópolis as the façade with the best visibility. The restrictions on alignments and the location of the future building, however, drastically reduced the buildable area for the sales office, only being more generous near the corner.
These restrictions provided the insight for the parti and the visitation circuit: in the elongated stretch along Av. Nilópolis, we located parking and the main access, which invites visitors to traverse the building longitudinally, making the transition between the noisy exterior and the calm interior, as the level difference of the terrain is overcome. This path leads to the reception, where clients are welcomed into a space that recovers the slatted elements of modern Brazilian architecture and forms a fluid and welcoming environment, facing the Square.
This stop allows everyone to prepare to begin the second moment of the visit: through a corridor that functions as a transition filter, clients are invited into what we affectionately call the "planetarium": a 360° projection room, with technological and content design developed by Neorama, provides a complete immersion in the atmosphere of the development, with projections on both walls and floor, complemented by a dynamic scale model that moves according to the needs of the presentation.
Finally, in a third moment, clients are welcomed into two comfortable meeting rooms, also facing the square, where they can comfortably learn about the remaining details of the development designed by architect Gui Mattos.
As a result, the space achieved its initial objectives, being even revisited to host the presentation of the constructor's other luxury developments, proving that the combination of architecture, strategy, and technology can effectively and innovatively serve the most demanding client profiles.
